Jesús Gilberto Elías Ogaz

Master in Business Economics | Economist | World Bank Consultant

More than twenty-five years designing and implementing strategies for economic development, territorial competitiveness, industrial strengthening, and economic intelligence.

He holds a Master’s in Business Economics (MEE) and a Bachelor’s in International Economics (LEI), with a specialization in Regional Development from Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH). He has specialized training in biotechnology business development and organizational development from the University of California San Diego (UCSD), and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.

His career spans government, academia, business organizations, research centers, and international organizations. He is a World Bank consultant. He has served as Academic Secretary of the Faculty of International Economics (UACH), Coordinator of the Economic Development Council of the Parral region, economic coordinator of CODECH, coordinator of the Private Sector Competitive Intelligence Platform, and Coordinator of the Chihuahua Centro Regional Development Council (CODER).

He was the coordinator of the Chihuahua Futura program, defining the city’s productive vocations for the next 25 years. He currently serves as Deputy Director of Industry in the Economic Development Directorate of the Municipality of Chihuahua, advancing public policies for industrial economic development.
